This family owned boutique winery from Župa, oldest wine region in Serbia, has been producing wine for already six generations. The winery is named after Mr. Budimir Zdravkovic, known as grandpa Buda, an 88 year old wine maker still working in vineyards An interesting fact is that 145 years ago, HRH Milan Obrenovic of Serbia issued a Royal Memorial Charter as a sign of gratitude to the family Zdravkovic. Budimir winery is producing 11 wine labels. They can proudly say that over 85% of their sales is based on local grape varieties Tamjanika and Prokupac. They are the first winery in Serbia that won 91 points from Robert Parker wine advocates for Svb Rosa of 2007, and again for vintage 2009. Župa is situated in Central Serbia, in wine region named Tri Morave (River Morava is divided in three parts, and those three rivers are main water source for growing grapes). Budimir is a modern winery, where modern technologies are used to preserve tradition and heritage of Serbia’s oldest wine region. They strongly believe that history with no future is just history, while history with future is heritage! With six generations in wine business, they are writing new pages of wine history.
