The Sinis peninsula is located in the centre of the western coast of Sardinia and has the typical characteristics of a territory that is still uncontaminated, scarcely urbanized and with the sea surrounding it on three sides. It was right in the centre of this almost flat area, with innumerable vestiges of man’s presence from distant times and important archaeological sites and a few hundred metres from the long sandy beaches, that Elisa and Roberta began to acquire land, both owned and leased, expanding it in recent years up to the current 15 cultivated hectares. After the early stages of studying the characteristics of the land and the construction of a deep well, they planted lavender officinalis; the cultivation has been extended over the years to tens of thousands of plants from which essential oil is obtained. The presence of the spectacular flowering resulted, as a natural consequence, in the production of honey. And finally they gave new life to a vineyard that had been abandoned for some years. With the help of expert oenologists, who supervised the maturation, the production of a Vermentino D.O.C. has started.
