For the past two centuries this family has been cultivating vines, handing down this passion from generation to generation. Tenuta Tarcisio Maule was founded in 2019 aiming to pay tribute to the work of their predecessors and give value to the wonderful land of Selva di Montebello. Their goal is to create wines that have an ever lower sulphite content and that, at the same time, best tell their terroir. Selva di Montebello, together with Gambellara, is characterized by unique terrains. Geologically it is an area of volcanic origin, with basaltic soils, mostly in the form of earthy and crumbly tuffs, particularly favourable for the cultivation of vines due to their natural fertility and high mineral content, to which we owe the extraordinary wine accents. Alongside their traditional vines (such as Durella and Garganega), they cultivate the innovative PIWI resistant vines which make it possible to reduce phytosanitary treatments by 80 percent.
