In 2007, contemporary artist Willem Sanders made the decision to relocate his Amsterdam studio to an old farmhouse in Monesiglio, Alta Langa, Piedmont. By 2015, the Sand&Berg vineyard was established, initially planted with 1,000 Pinot Noir vines. Sand&Berg is not only dedicated to producing Pinot Noir but has also launched two projects: THE PAINTED GRAPE, Langherosso DOC, and THE PROMISING GRAPE, Dolcetto D’Alba DOC, aiming to establish a context and aesthetic synergy between art and wine.
