Description: Native variety. Montepulciano d’Abruzzo DOC is distinguished by an intense ruby red colour tending towards garnet, the bouquet is floral and fruity, with hints of ripe red fruits. The taste is full, dry, harmonious and rightly tannic. It goes well with furred game, meat pies, rustic pâtés and savoury first courses, such as casserole with beef meatballs, meat ravioli, sausage risotto, tagliolini with duck ragout and second courses such as baked lamb, game and cheeses.
