Poderi di San Pietro, a family-run winery, has been developing its business since 1998 from the vine to the bottle, all exclusively home-made at Km 0. Located in San Colombano al Lambro, it is the most representative winery in the province of Milan, only 40 km from the city. In the “Milanese hill” about 60 hectares of vineyards are cultivated and worked in the cellar with a perfect mix of tradition and innovation. The campaign is managed by minimizing the use of chemical agents and emissions in respect of quality, the environment and the grapes, which are harvested exclusively by hand. The different varieties of national and international vines find different methods of refinement: 70 temperature-controlled steel tanks from 10 to 100 hectolitres each, a battery of 120 selected French oak barrels are destined for the production of their finest wines. The latest addition to the Poderi house are the porcelain stoneware amphorae that allow the maximum expression of their vines.
