The Pietreionne winery was born in the municipality of Ponte, a small town in the Sannio area, already existing in Roman times, which owes its name to an imposing Roman bridge “Ad Pontem Lapideum” over which the Via Latina passed connecting Rome to Benevento. The farm extends over the hills where the green of the vineyards is the protagonist. Pietreionne is the ancient name of the place where the vineyards have been cultivated for over 4 generations. “A wine becomes such only when it transmits emotions”, it is the daily point of reference that the oenologist Daniele Giovanni Corbo uses to convey his passion for wine, born at a young age and inherited from his ancestors. A passion that has gradually grown, fuelled by the strong bond with his land that has led to the development of what is one of the most representative grape varieties of Sannio, the Falanghina. And it is precisely the Falanghina that is the point of reference for major projects, at the base of the Cru and the sparkling wine according to the Classic Method.
