In the heart of Campania, where the profile of the “Sleeping woman” stands out, the vineyards parade and month after month evolve into a display of colours, scents and textures destined to give the wines an unrepeatable uniqueness. The Ocone winery was founded in 1910 at the foot of Mount Taburno in the province of Benevento, and soon achieved great success in the area. In 2018 ownership passed to Euvitis21, a young and enterprising team united by a great passion. Since 1910, they have been producing wines that reflect the peculiarities of the area, where the hills reach 400 metres above sea level, the soils are rich in clay and limestone and the climate is temperate, influenced by the flowing waters of the Calore river. Here, as in the times of the Ancient Romans, the native varieties are grown: Aglianico, Piedirosso, Falanghina, Coda di Volpe, Greco and Fiano. The wines of Ocone are historical representatives of a terroir of ancient winemaking tradition, which still preserves an intact biodiversity free from the contamination of international vines, where you can still breathe the authentic scent of Sannio.
