– Why did you decide to undertake this experience? Where does your passion for spirits come from? What are the origins of your company?
As every Croatian we are wine and spirits lovers from the day we are born. “The Artisan” story begins in 2020. with the idea to create a gin, different from any present, flavored and branded as a premium Croatian gin. 25 days were spent mixing the botanicals until the perfect balance and flavour was reached. Organic and locally sourced botanicals carefully distilled which comes in stunning bottle design give you the experience of luxury and distinctive flavours from the moment you hold the bottle till the aftertaste you will enjoy.
– What does it mean for you to run a company like yours?
As much as it is a challenge to make a gin that will stand out in a really good competition field, it is also an everyday reward when it comes to all the nice feedback we get from our customers and people from the profession. That is something that pushes you to do it and enjoy it more.
– Do you have a more traditional approach to production or do you use innovative techniques?
We use the cold vacuum distillation what make us unique in Croatia and one of the few in the world. We use vacuum to reduce the pressure in the still and reduce the evaporation point of the ingredients and in that point extract the clean flavour from the botanicals without cooking them. The lower the pressure the lower the temperature is, approximately -5 C which gives the finest, unchanged, natural and preserved flavor in every batch with less water waste.
– What do you think are the main characteristics of your spirits?
Fresh and clean smell and taste of fragrances and flavours of hand picked herbs and fruits, blended and carefully distilled. Eye catchy and luxury bottle design which will remind you of sea waves.
– What is the future of your company? Do you already have some projects in mind?
Our future is to grow one step at a time so we can be assured that all the future gin tastes from The Artisan distillery will be good enough or better than previous.
We are working on a new flavour and have a new bottle colour edition prepared and waiting to be released.
– What are the feelings you want to convey to consumers through your labels?

Top quality of ingredients, dedication to the production process filled with a lot of love.

– What is your relationship with the territory?
We are born Croatian in love with our country treasures.
– How is your spirit positioned today? Are you more oriented to the national or international market?
We are equally positioned in the national and international market as a premium spirit not present in every store or HoReCa industry.
– Why should a consumer choose your spirits? And who is your target audience?
People who choose quality above all, know how to treat themselves and add pleasure to their senses.
