The first edition of Best Wine Stars took place in the suggestive historical cloisters of the Diocesan Museum of Milan. 70 wineries proposed their 350 labels to the public of amateurs and experts, promoting the excellence of their land in a journey that crossed the entire Italian peninsula. For the occasion, in fact, each winery presented its best labels at the event, giving the visiting public the opportunity to taste all the novelties on the Italian wine market.
MASTERCLASSES
During the event, guests had the opportunity to participate in 6 masterclasses dedicated to various insights, in which outstanding personalities of the sector participated. The themes covered ranged from the fizzes of Sparkling Dress to the rosé wines of Think Pink, passing from the organic wines of Green is the new Black to the very entertaining and enthralling Wine Show with Vinhood.
SPEAKERS
Among the speakers were Adua Villa, enogastronomist, writer and curator of all the masterclasses, Bruno Vespa, representative of the Vespa Vignaioli winery, Andrea Cuomo, journalist for Il Giornale, Stefania Vinciguerra, Editor-in-Chief of Doctorwine, Chiara Giovoni, Ambassadeur du Champagne CIVC for Italy, and finally Matteo Parisi and Andrea Chinosi of Vinhood, Digital Startup.
AWARDS
The Best Sparkling Wine award was assigned to Cesarini Sforza for Cesarini Sforza 1673 Rosé Trento doc. The Best White wine award was assigned to the Cantina Imperatori with Segreto Verde Trebbiano 2017 Igp Lazio. The Best Red award was assigned to Elvio Cogno for Ravera 2014 Barolo Docg, while Best Communication Strategy Ferro 13 won together with Ca’ Maiol.
