The Primitivo di Manduria, DOC since 1974, is one of Italy’s renowned red wines. The Consortium for Protection, founded in 1998, currently boasts 2,000 viticulturist members and 118 wineries, spread across 18 municipalities between Taranto and Brindisi. Its success stems from collaborative efforts within the production chain, with vine-growers cultivating high-quality grapes and efficient wineries. Seventy percent of the production is exported abroad, contributing to the continuous growth of Primitivo di Manduria in the global market.
