The Taver farm was born in 1968 thanks to Giuseppe Bocchio, who bought a vineyard land with annexed circumferential land in the Crociale area of Manerba. The building permits arrived in 1974 and the family moved in 1980. Other lands were subsequently purchased in the Manerba area and surroundings; the building is used as a farmhouse and cellar, the land is planted with vines, olive trees, corn, vegetables and a stable is built for some cattle and pigs for consumption in food services. To date, the farm, albeit with some modifications, is separated from the agritourism structure where in the basement there is the cellar, on the ground floor the offices, the store, the restaurant and the kitchen, on the first floor the residences of the owners and on the second floor apartments for agritourism use. The farm remains a point of reference for what is meant today by the term of craftsmanship: low yields in the countryside, native varieties and vineyards worked by hand with minimal mechanical interventions and only indispensable cellar equipment; all the rest is passion, knowledge and an intrinsic link with the territory: the Valtènesi.
