The Severoli farm was founded in 1851 at the foot of the Dozza hill, where the harshness of the slopes meets the sweetness of the plain; the Severoli vineyards yield their best fruits to the skilful hand of the winemaker. Count Roberto Sassatelli sold to the reverends Don Luigi, Giovanni and Domenico Gambetti a portion where the cellar and the manor house are currently located. After the death of Don Luigi Fambetti the “Colombarotto” was inherited by Count Giovanni Severoli, hence the current name Severoli. In 1988 the farm was then bought by the Martelli family, who chose to keep the original name. A manor house with eight centuries of history, illustrious lineage in the lands of Romagna, immersed in a centuries-old park surrounded by hilly vineyards. They like to work in the cellar and enjoy the silence between the barrels. Their wines are like them: they bring with them the history and memories of the past, respecting tradition but with a strong innovative vein.
