For over 100 years, the Rabino family has cultivated the vineyards in the municipality of Monforte d’Alba with passion and love for their work. Their ambition is to produce wines with a strong personality linked to the history of this splendid area, which has become a UNESCO heritage site. Azienda Agricola Rabino was founded in 1909 in Monforte d’Alba by Bernardo Rabino, who planted the first vineyards. In 1920 he built the first small cellar in the hamlet of Bussia San Giovanni and began to produce the farm’s first fine wines; the work was then continued by Bernardo’s son, Pasquale, born in 1928. Most of the harvested grapes were sold and only one a small part was vinified for selected customers. The son Marco decided to treasure everything that had been handed down to him by his grandfather and father and today all the grapes are vinified in the farm’s cellar using a natural method and respecting tradition. Their goal is to produce excellent quality wines, such as Barolo, Nebbiolo, Barbera, Dolcetto, Langhe Rosso, Nascetta and Chardonnay and Pinot Nero.
