In 2000, bottling of Primitivo began in Manduria, a grape already produced for 4 generations. There are 6 hectares of alberello vines, all owned, in the Manduria countryside on tufaceous clay soils. Aging takes place in cement tanks and barriques, and since 2016, a 15% vol. rosé version, aged in amphora, has also been produced. Old sapling vines, one of which is over 90 years old, produce overripe grapes for very sweet and elegant wines.
