It all began around the first half of the 1800s. A young man named Vincenzo, the patriarch of the Errigo family, would gather medicinal herbs at night at the base of a rocky wall and distill them according to a secret recipe. For four generations, the Errigo family has passed down this ancient recipe, honoring the promise made to their ancestor Vincenzo. Today, they share the story of Pietro and his friends and the bitter Rupes, shouting “Long live Freedom, Long live the Fatherland.”
