The company takes its name from the district of Brigha, in the locality of Bova, where the ancient cellar is located, in the rooms of an old renovated 19th century oil mill, in which the original characteristics and machinery have been maintained (grinders, press and water pump). The cellar is equipped with the latest generation machines and equipment, from the pneumatic press that allows for soft pressing to the strainers that allow the must to ferment at a controlled temperature. Another renovated room is an old millstone now used as a barrel room. Currently in Società Agricola Brigha wines made with grapes coming directly from their ancient vineyards are produced; for two years they have radically changed their labels giving visual continuity and referring to the territory. The reds are called Amandolea and Aspromontis, Aspromontis Superior, while the whites are Stilis and Stilis Superior. Società Agricola Brigha was founded with the aim of producing typical wines of the area such as Nerello Calabrese, Greco bianco and Guardavalle.
